Ray Doktor says:

Gender could change things because of their attachment to the idea of relationships but your happiness and healthy communication is the most important choice. Our children learn through benign observations by watching us. Choosing happiness and healthy decisions is a good thing for children to be influenced by rather than making decisions based on guilt/fear.

Hi Dr. Ray, I'm a soon to be divorced mom. I'm wondering if the gender of the children matters. I have daughters and the youngest one is 14 yrs old. I would prefer an arrangement like this as I am very involved in their lives.
